Well, I have released Nicotine’s new version. Nicotine is a client for Soulseek p2p protocol.
Some of the most important changes that I have done:
- Support for the N800.
- Fixed a bug in which the server wasn’t saved in configuration file and it wasn’t connecting.
- Made some changes in the UI for adapt it to hildon.
- Fixed other minors bugs.
- Some menus are shown with two clicks on the screen, while that others are shown with only one click.
Some failures known about the program:
- When it’s searching files it might not respond, but it returns again. It’s that it uses enough resources on searching files. Please, have a bit of patience
- The filters don’t seem to work, I have to investigate a bit this. For the next version I hope have it solved.
- When you enters some room with many users, it uses many resources, and it might be late in response. Please have a bit more of patience.
If you find some bug, please, report it to garage: Nicotine project page
Also I have upload some images in my Flickr’s account: Nicotine Screenshots.
You can install it by means this link: Nicotine Install
The first thing that it’s necessary do on first run it, is add username and password (if you don’t have one, you can choose one that you like, if it’s elected it will show you an error). Also you will have that define the download directories.
Have fun
PD. Feedback always is welcome.

The install doesn’t seem to work with my N800 running the latest patch ver. I look forward to trying this out though
I’m sorry. I used a bad install file. It should work now.
